The Gibson/Sullivan Family and Hill Family are proud to sponsor this transport in loving memory of Jeffery James Sullivan, who passed away July 2017, at the age of 29. Jeff’s love of animals began at a young age. He begged for a dog for two years before receiving his beloved Golden Retriever, Tanner, at the age of nine. Although Jeff had a relative who raised dogs, he recognized the importance of adopting rescue dogs and chose to do so as an adult. Jeff and his girlfriend Morgan adopted two rescue dogs, Jaxson and Buddha, who they fell in love with. The dogs reciprocated the love and affection given to them. Jeff was very supportive of the rescue/adoption opportunities for all dogs and dog lovers. It is our hope that his deep love of life and animals is transferred to any adopted animal through play, laughter, and companionship. He would be so happy to know that dogs were saved in his name! Dawson was born October 25, 2017 and we are really guessing that he'll top out about 50 lbs. But truly we are guessing!!! We are told mom is a Beagle/Doxie mix, but sometimes they have a little trouble in the south with breeds (as do we...) and we just have to guess that she truly is a Basset mix judging from the looks of these pups. They are CUTE and just as sweet as can be. They were raised in a home with kids, cats, and dogs! It seems there mom was a stray that a family took in and found she was VERY pregnant so they let her have her pup, found a home for one and called the shelter for guidance for these 2 boys. The pups never had to go to the shelter as they went from their birth home straight to Joyful Rescues! The family is happy to keep the mom and she is now spayed. Now it's their turn for a forever home!

Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
